LG Announces New, Affordable Mid-Range Smartphone
LG officially introduces us to its latest affordable mid-range Android-powered smartphone, the L90. Unfortunately, the South Korean company did not provide any information with regards to pricing and availability, but a recent leak suggests that the handset will be heading to Asia and Europe in just under a month with dual-SIM capabilities.
In terms of specifications, the L90 incorporates a 4.7-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset powered by two 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 central processing units, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, an Adreno 305 GPU and a 2,540 Li-Ion non-removable battery.
The handset is set ship running the latest build of Android 4.4.2 KitKat straight out of the box skinned with LG’s famous custom user interface, which, according to the manufacturer, improves your productivity, decreases the amount of time it takes to navigate around the device and allows you to customize your smartphone extensively. This coupled with the incredibly-popular Knock On function which made its debut appearance last year, enabling users to power on their smartphone by simply tapping the screen in any one of 86,367 different combinations) makes for an extremely unique mid-range smartphone.
